Embraer sells six A-29 Super Tucano to Lebanon

Embraer sold six military aircraft of the model A-29 Super Tucano for the Lebanese Air Force. The deal was announced Monday (9th) during the Dubai Air Show, the fair of the aviation sector held in Dubai.

The value of the deal was not disclosed, but according to information from the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, the agreement includes logistics support and training for Lebanese pilots and mechanics.

The sales agreement is a partnership between Embraer and its American partner Sierra Nevada Corporation, with the aircraft being produced in the United States. This model is used in air support and attacks mission. In a statement, Jackson Schneider, CEO and president of Embraer Defense & Security, said that the fact it was chosen the chosen plane “proves the superiority of the Super Tucano and its ability to face the challenges of the Middle East theater level”.
