BradarSAR is the new multiband (X e P) InSAR remote sensoring system by BRADAR, a company under Embraer Defense & Security. Transported by air and used for high accuracy and resolution mapping and monitoring, the equipment can be operated even at night, in cloudy or rainy weather.
Weighting only 100 kilos, it can be carried anywhere, even in missions abroad. It is easy to install and can be mounted in small and low-cost aircrafts, utilizing the same drilling (holes in aircrafts already approved for operation) as for digital cameras.
Its main applications are: generating images, topographic mapping, geographical change monitoring (e.g., deforestation, floods, invasions, erosive processes), as well as biomass, search and rescue estimates, sea and terrestrial surveillance, and border control among others.
According to the president of Bradar, Astor Vasques, this technology offers a reduction of field work, excellent accuracy in the information obtained, and speed for processing data. “Our ability to develop SAR radars enabled us to reach this level in technology, which is held by few nations in the world, Brazil being one of them. Today we have equipment able to map with precision the dimension of any area in our country or abroad.”
BRADAR is a Brazilian company under Embraer Defense &Security (EMBRAER Defesa & Segurança) specialized in remote sensoring, design and manufacturing of air and terrestrial surveillance radars.
