Embraer deliveries the highest in five years

In 2015, clients received 101 passenger jets and 120 business jets made by the Brazilian aircraft manufacturing company. A deal with Emirates Airline was a highlight of the year.

Embraer delivered 221 aircraft to its clients in 2015, the highest number in five years, it reported this Thursday (14). The company delivered 101 passenger aircraft, in line with its previous forecasts, and 121 business jets, one more than previously estimated.

Passenger jet deliveries included 82 E175, two E170, eight E190 and nine E195 units. Business jet deliveries included 82 light aircraft and 38 large ones. Embraer reported a firm order backlog of USD 22.5 billion as of December 31, 2015.

In quarter four, 2015, Embraer delivered 78 aircraft, being 33 passenger jets and 45 business jets. Additionally, it received an order for 19 E175 units from SkyWest to be flown by the United States’ Delta Airlines. The Dutch KLM confirmed an order for two E175 units.

On the business jet front, an order for five Phenom 100E jets was placed by the Emirates Flight Training Academy, the pilot training unit of the United Arab Emirates’ Emirates Airline. The order includes an option for an additional five units.

The company’s shares on the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa) closed down 0.6% to BRL 28.08 this Wednesday.
