Future-oriented development programmes were the main focus of attention at the meeting held in Kremlin at Monday 25th May 2015. Other subjects of discussion included the situation with work at the Vostochny Space Launch Centre.

Taking part in the meeting were:

– Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov;
– Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who oversees the space sector;
– Presidential Aide Andrei Belousov;
– Finance Minister Anton Siluanov;
– Head of the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) Igor Komarov;
– Deputy Defence Minister Yury Borisov, and,
– Director of the Federal Agency for Special Construction Alexander Volosov.

Head of Roscosmos Igor Komarov said that the meeting examined possibilities for developing Russia’s orbiting satellite group for national economic needs. This is one of the priority objectives of the Federal Space Programme and the programme for developing space launch centres.

The discussion on construction work at the Vostochny Space Launch Centre touched on issues such as keeping to deadlines for facilities’ completion, preparing for the first launch at the site, and other matters, including new projects and programmes involving the Angara launch vehicle.
