SIBAT the International Defense Cooperation Directorate of the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) –will present 18 companies with operationally-proven technologies for asymmetric warfare at the Israel Pavilion. The large number of participating companies reflects the importance accorded by Israel defense industries to the Latin American market.

According to the Director of SIBAT, Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Mishel Ben Baruch, "We are pleased to once again take part in this important exhibition – LAAD 2015 in Rio de Janeiro – a major event that brings together developers and exhibitors from around the world who are all focused on security and defense. We look forward to fruitful cooperation with Latin American countries in general, and Brazil, in particular, regarding the wide range of solutions being presented at the Israel Pavilion. SIBAT sees in this cooperation an important strategic opportunity that will contribute to strengthen the two nations, both economically and defense-wise."

He continued, "In an era when defense budgets around the world are becoming more focused on economics, affecting defense development as well as production, this technological cooperation can be seen as a professional, high quality, fast and powerful response to critical security needs, for today and for the future. Many of the products being offered by Israeli companies at LAAD are combat-proven, and provide an excellent option for cooperation and rapid integration that will bring a strong and appropriate response to this region. "
